The third annual convocation of IIM Raipur will be held on Monday at 4 pm at the VW Canyon Hotel here. Sunil Munjal, Joint Managing Director, Hero Motocorp ltd., and Chairman Hero Corporate Service ltd., will be the chief guest on the occasion who would deliver the convocation address.
Hari S Bhartia, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIM Raipur will preside over the function whereas Prof BS Sahay, Director, IIM Raipur will present the Director’s Report. Addressing a Press conference here on Sunday, Prof Sahay said that a Pre-Convocation function on the eve of the 3rd Annual Convocation has been organised at IIM Campus. All students from PGP, FPM, EFPM and PGPWE will participate in the function to celebrate the success of IIM Raipur.
On this occasion, the IIM Director will felicitate the outstanding contributions made by outgoing graduates of PGP2012-14 for different committees and clubs like International Relations Committee, Public Relations Committee, Quizzing Club, Cultural and Sports Club, Operations Club, Event Organisers, Outstanding Academic Performance in Ist Year and IInd Year, Overall Outstanding Contribution and Class Representatives. Some of faculty members and staff will also be felicitated on this grand pre-convocation function for their outstanding contributions in the development of the institute. The event will end with a grand dinner for all the students, faculty members and staff.
Notably Munjal has received Glob Scot Award from the Scottish Government in Sept., 2012. His name has been inscribed on The Royal Society of Medicine’s Wall of Honour at london in recognition of his contribution in Affordable Healthcare as President of Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, ludhiana in February, 2013.
