Kartavya, the CSR Club of IIM Raipur, has come forward to help the flood-affected people in Jammu & Kashmir by launching a material-collection drive called ‘Raahat’.
As a part of ‘Raahat’, households, schools, colleges, shopping complexes and nearby localities will be visited for support towards this noble cause on September 30 and October 1, 2014 by IIM Raipur volunteers, a press release issued here on Saturday stated. The participants will urge benevolent city residents to donate whatever they can so as to uplift the situation of the Kashmir people. It is expected that huge amounts of material will be collected at the end of this drive and once this collection is completed at the city level, the material will be sent across to J&K via ‘Goonj’, a national level NGO actively participating in this endeavor.
