The newly appointed Inspector General of Police (Raipur range) Dipanshu Kabra under the best policing practice at capital city launched the twitter handle @IGRaipur.
The people can now register their complaint directly which can reach the higher officers of police department. Anyone can register the complaint on the twitter handle or can draw the attention of the police official. In presence of Superintendent of Police Raipur Amresh Mishra, Baloda Bazar SP Prashant Agrawal, Mahasamund SP Santosh Kumar Singh along with other officers were present.
Addressing the media he briefed on the utility of the handle and said that through twitter one can read the problems faced and for handling this a team would be operational round the clock.
He said that the complaint would be attended and efforts would be made to resolve within 24 hours. Through the handle, complaints within the IG Range based districts can be registered.
Kabra had made a similar initiative while he was in charge of Bilaspur range. It gave good result. There were several cases where IG intervened directly and directed to take action.
