I was very much disappointed when no one came and backed me on the controversy created over the film Indu Sarkar, said noted Bollywood Director, Madhur Bhandarkar. Bhandarkar was talking to media persons here during inauguration of ‘Sanskar Bharti Natya Shala’ on Sunday evening at Bhilai.

Going down the memory lane Bhandarkar said he was disappointed that the artists and film makers of Bollywood industry didn’t supported me during the release of film Indu Sarkar.

He strongly condemned politicking on movies and creating pressure for banning it.

Advocating for freedom of speech the noted film director further said he was behind the filmmakers of Padmawat, Udta Punjab and Aye Dil Hai Mushkil when efforts were made to ban the films, he said.  “None of the book or film should be banned before it is released.

It must be left for the readers and audiences to decide about its fate.

Hard work of years of artists and a large sum of money of filmmaker is invested in making films. It must be left for people to decide about it after the clearance from censer board”, he said.

He also guided the budding talents of steel city for making entry into the Bollywood industry and apprised him about his own struggle.

Hard work is the only key to success he told the aspiring talents of Bhilai.
