I don’t fear any probe agency: Baghel

Published on:

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said that he is not scared of any investigation agency.

He was reacting to the reported statement of former Chief Minister Raman Singh that Baghel had barred CBI from operating in State as he feared the agency.

"I am not even scared of death so what sort of fear, he asked while addressing a Press conference here.

The Chief Minister said that it is binding to abide by any investigation if order given is by the Supreme Court or the High Court.

Previously CBI was given the right to do investigations in the State which was not given by a State order. It was given by an officer and in 2011, the Raman Singh Government had even objected to it, he said.

Baghel said that the then Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Ashok Juneja had sent a letter to the Central Government seeking to ban CBI’s entry in Chhattisgarh and the State government had published that in the Gazette notification.
