A new Hydraulic Plate Bending Machine Installed at Steel Structural Shop of Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) was formally inaugurated by GM I/c (M&U) S K Jain in SS Shop here.
The machine has the capacity of making 48 mm thick and 3000 mm wide pipes and Shells plates. The machine can quickly make high quality of Blast Furnace plate and Convertor’s bend plate. It is a very useful machine to accomplish jobs of various departments of BSP, according to a BSP press release issued here on Tuesday.
The Hydraulic Plate Bending Machine has been installed under the AMR project. The machine was installed under the guidance of R Suresh Kumar DGM I/c (F & SS Shop) and the project was co-ordinated by S K Agrawal of SS Shop.
Those present on the occasion were -- Arun Bhandakkar GM (Electrical), Sanjeev Nayyar GM (SMS-2 & CCS), P K Diwedi GM I/c (Iron), M B Ganesh Moorthy GM (Shops), Harinand Rai GM (Blast Furnaces), Jagdish Umare GM (Utility), Kamlendu Das GM (SMS-1), S N Abidi GM (PPC), S K Badhiye DGM (F & SS Shop) A K Pande Senior Manager (Forge Shop), Adhikari Sahu Deputy Manager (Forge Shop).
Senior officers of MM (IPM), CED, BEDB, Hydraulic, Plant Garage, CPD, Foundry Shop & Employees of Forge & Steel Structural Shop were present.
