A free district-level AYUSH health camp was organised here recently. Hundreds of people underwent treatment in the camp and were given necessary medicines. Dr Arun Awadhiya, Dr Ravindra Verma, Dr AK Singh and other medical staff provided necessary medicines to the people. According to District Ayurveda Medical Officer Dr Keshar Patra, as many as 23 Ayurveda Grams in the districts have been established where 41 AYUSH health centres are functioning.

Five centres are functioning in Primary Health Centres (PHCs) while others in their own buildings, he said. The district-level health camps have been organised twice in a year, he said. Dr Gurudayal Sahu said that most of the cases in the camp were related to skin disease which is the result of taking bath in polluted water.
