Chhattisgarh Governor Anusuiya Uike on Wednesday said human beings are able to tackle all adverse situations and the Corona pandemic is one of them.
The Governor was addressing a webinar organized by Yuva Chetna on “Corona and Rural India”.
She stressed the need to take care of mental health at this crucial juncture and display determination. “We also need self confidence and patience to come out of the fear complex created by the pandemic."
“In the beginning the situation took alarming proportions. But now the second wave is under control with better management by the government and administration,” she said.
After the first wave people became careless vis-a-vis Covid appropriate behavior while the rural population ignored possible symptoms initially, allowing the pandemic to play havoc, she said.
The Governor urged everyone to embrace vaccination, saying this was the only way to beat the pandemic.
