A large number of citizens attended the funeral and last rites of veteran journalist, litterateur and former Chairman of Padumlal Punnulal Bakshi Peeth, Baban Prasad Mishra held in Devendra Nagar based cremation ground in Raipur on Sunday.
The veteran journalist had breathed his last in Raipur on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Governor Balramji Das Tandon in his message expressed deep condolence on demise of the veteran journalist.
He has empathized with grief-stricken family of late Baban Prasad Mishra and has prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Meanwhile, a condolence meeting had been organised at Raipur Press Club at Motibaug from 12 noon to pay tributes to the late veteran journalist on Tuesday.
