The Chhattisgarh Housing Board would soon commence monitoring stages of implementation of its ongoing projects using the Geographic Information System (GIS) software across the State.

The Board has also decided to digitize layouts of all its colonies through the use of Geographic Information System (GIS) software for adopting better Estate Management practices. The Board expects to make optimum utilization of the satellite imaging facility available with the GIS software in the State. A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting chaired by Chhattisgarh Housing Board Commissioner Sonmani Borah at the Board headquarters on Wednesday. Bora said in the meeting that the GIS software would also help identify those allottees of land who had been allotted land but have still not commenced construction.

He directed the officials to put up all the circulars received by the Estate and Administrative Department on the Board website for the beneficiaries of the projects. While reviewing the development of free hold plots, the Commissioner said that in divisions where the work is moving at a slow place, the salary increments of the officials must be stopped. Borah directed the officials to create a list of products which fall under the category of 'direct purchase'.

He said that the products which fall under the'direct purchase' category must be of high quality and must meet the parameters set by the Board. Borah also directed that all boundaries be constructed in all the colonies of the Board in the State.
