Government of Chhattisgarh under Negotiable Instrumentation Act 1881 has declared general public holiday within the limits of Chitrakot assembly constituency on October 21, the day by-poll will be held there.
The order stated that in all the offices based in Chitrakot assembly constituency will remain closed during the polling day.
Meanwhile, the employers and other institutions will have to grant adequate period to allow their employees to cast their votes, mainly in the factories and other industrial units which functions 24-hours.
Six candidates are in election fray for the by-poll.
