Three police personnel from Chhattisgarh have been conferred with the Union Home Minister’s Medal 2021 for excellence in investigating crime, it was announced on Thursday.
Bemetara Sub Divisional Police Officer Rajeev Sharma, Sub-Inspector Indira Vaishnava (Rajnandgaon) and Assistant Sub-Inspector Indu Sharma (Bastar) won the prestigious medal, an official communication said.
They showed high professional standards in investigating the rapes took place in Bemetara, Rajnandgaon and Bastar districts in March 2020, June 2019 and October 2020 respectively, the statement added. Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu and Director General of Police D.M. Awasthi congratulated the three officers.
