High time to expose Govt misdeeds: PCC

Published on:

President of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee Nand Kumar Patel on Saturday charged that corruption in the State reached zenith with ruling BJP leaders indulging in grabbing contracts of building construction, road construction, anicut construction and even of repairing works.

Through transportation contract and supply work these leaders have pocketed crores during the last 9 years.

The result is that those travelling on bicycles are now owners of 4-wheelers and living in mansions while poor people of Chhattisgarh are neglected. He called on Congress workers to keep vigil on the activities of these people by exposing the ruling party’s misdeeds in time and help stop the wrong doing of the State Government.

Addressing mammoth public gathering at Saraipali and Basna during third phase of Parivartan Yatra, Patel told the people that the Yatra is being organised at the directives of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi with a view to take the corruption, commission raj, and betrayal of the BJP Government to

masses and have so far have reached the people of 40 assembly constituencies. The hearty response of people to the Parivartan Yatra is ample proof that people of Chhattisgarh are eagerly awaiting polls to vote out this Government.

On this occasion former Union Minister Vidya Charan Shukla said that Congress has always been with the common man and worked for the benefit of poor, women, tribal as well as scheduled castes people.

On the other hand, BJP leaders after coming to power think that corruption is their duty. After the formation of the new state, new industrialists and capitalists have virtually turned it into a place of minting money illegally. Removal of the corrupt BJP Government is main goal of this Parivartan Yatra, he claimed.

On this occasion former minister Satya Narayan Sharma, MlAs Mahant Ram Sunder Das, Dr Haridas Bharadwaj, Devendra Bahadur Singh, Agni Chandrakar, Padma Manhar, party general secretary Vidhan Mishra, Rajendra Tiwari, Chandrabhan Barmate, Mohit Dhruv, Ramlal Bharadwaj and others were present.

On Sunday, Parivartan Yatra will reach Komakhan in Khallari constituency at 11 am, Bindranavagarh of Gariyaband at 2 pm and Navapara of Abhanpur at 4 pm.

On May 6, AICC general secretary and senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh will attend the Parivartan Yatra at Rajim and also join it at Dhamtari Tuesday afternoon.
