Chhattisgarh Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo on Wednesday inaugurated free dialysis facilities in Ambikapur and Jashpur district hospitals.
The Minister was physically present at Ambikapur and inaugurated the dialysis centre of Jashpur via videoconferencing.
The new facilities have been funded under ‘Jeevan Dhara’, the national free dialysis programme of the National Health Mission.
Under the scheme, dialysis machines have been installed in the district hospitals in Kanker, Mahasamund, Durg, Bilaspur, Korba, Bijapur and Bilaspur, an official statement said.
Speaking on this occasion, the Minister said people suffering from kidney ailments can now avail dialysis free of cost.
