The Health Department has commenced its probe into the botched cataract surgery of patients in an eye camp in Balod in September last year.
A dozen employees had been questioned in the Department so far and more had been called for questioning, official sources said.
It may be recalled that a cataract surgery camp was held in Balod between September 22 to 30 in which a total of 300 patients were operated upon in which 49 patients developed an infection which later led to blindness.
The State Government had suspended the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) including six other doctors with immediate effect after the incident.
