The Chhattisgarh High Court has extended the hearing of cases in virtual mode from February 1 to 15 in view of a massive spike in daily new Covid-19 cases in the state.
The virtual hearing has been effective since January 1.
Fresh filing will continue through the filing counters, Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal, the Registrar General, said in an order issued on Monday.
All section rank officers and their equivalent should be present daily on working days while the remaining staff in the section will be present on a rotational basis.
No officer and employee of the court will be allowed to leave headquarters without prior information, an order said.
To avoid overcrowding, advocates are requested to enter the court premises only if they have to file cases or their cases are listed in any of the courts.
