Have patience for ‘Nava C’garh’: Baghel tells youth

Published on:

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in an open letter to youth of the state urged them to stand by him to build a ‘New Chhattisgarh’ (Nava Chhattisgarh), which is self-reliant.

Outlining his concept of the Nava Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister said he wanted to build a state where no farmer would take loan. Further, in his new state no one would dare insult youth by giving freebies like slipper, tiffin, sarees or mobile phone to them. Instead, “all will have the power to procure such material of day-to-day use,” he added.

Calling it his “inner voice”, the Chief Minister in a Facebook post called upon the youth to have “patience, steely resolve, will power and strength”, while assuring everyone would get their “equal constitutional rights.”

He also tweeted the Facebook link, containing the message.

“I have tried to be available to people in more than 60 days of (my) government and totally dedicated (myself) to build a new state. I come from an ordinary farmer’s family. I had witnessed several ups and downs in life while pursuing education, seeking job or discharging responsibility towards my family. I understand the pain and struggle of life,” he wrote. Only in the initial three years since its inception as a state, the Congress had got an opportunity to take care of the state, he pointed out.

“Now after 15 years of BJP rule, in the state’s 18th year, again people have given massive mandate to the Congress to serve it. They have higher hopes, aspirations and dreams. So, there’s need for change,” he added.

“Government is working day and night and soon vacant posts will be filled, new sports policy is in the offing, changes are being made in the CGPSC, software park, medicinal factory and food parks will be established. This will further strengthen economic status of farmers and tribal people,” he said.

He urged the youth not to be caught in the cobweb of politics and get misled by those who failed to fulfill their aspirations for the last 15 years.
