For the ‘Sankalpa Yatra’ of Congress party which is to be taken out from Jheeram valley in Bastar on the fifth anniversary of the Maoist attack on the Congress party convoy on May 25, the party has written a letter to the Director General of Police (DGP) and has demanded security, said Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) President Bhupesh Baghel.
“Our sentiments are with that place where top brass of the party was martyred in the Maoist attack and therefore we are determined to start our Yatra from there”, he said.
Baghel while addressing media persons blamed the ruling BJP government for its failure in tackling the Maoist menace.
The Maoist attacks well ahead of Union Home Minister's visit and also before the visit of the Chief Minister himself proves the same, he said.
