Congress national general secretary and Chhattisgarh in-charge BK Hariprasad on Thursday lashed out at BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and accused him for making false claims on Gujarat’s development.
launching the campaign of his party in Jagdalpur, which comes under Bastar lok Sabha seat, along with State Congress president Bhupesh Baghel, he said Modi has habit of making false claims on development issues. “He (Modi) has been travelling across the country and making false claims on the development of Gujarat”.
“Gujarat was never under-developed. Gujarat has alwaysbeen known from the beginning for highest production of milk, wheat, fruits and flowers,’’ the Congress leader remarked at headquarters of sprawling Bastar region which is Maoist stronghold since late 1980s.
Slamming Modi for launching slander campaign against Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi, Hariprasad said Modi should know that it was Sonia Gandhi sacrificed the chair and made Manmohan Singh the Prime Minister of the country.
“Whereas the BJP on the other hand has sidelined its leader whom it should make it’s Prime Minister and projecting Modi as its Prime Ministerial candidate,’’ Hariprasad stated.
