A hardcore Naxalite carrying a reward of Rs 8 lakhs on his head on Thursday surrendered to security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district, police said.
Sukma Superintendent of Police Sunil Sharma said Sodi Muya was active as Secretary of the Kerlapal Area Committee of the outlawed CPI (Maoist).
He was involved in 20 Naxalite incidents between 2014 and 2021 in which 29 security personnel were killed, the officer said.
