A woman has allegedly committed suicide by immolating at her house in Mana camp on outskirts of the city. The deceased in her suicide letter accused her mother-in-law and sister-in-law of forcing her to take the extreme step, police said on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Anjana Gupta (22), wife of Raju Gupta, resident of Mana Camp. Raju Gupta was a driver by profession and had got married to Anjana last year. “Anjana had immolated herself in house after dousing with kerosene. She was then rushed to BR Ambedkar Memorial Hospital where she succumbed on Tuesday,” informed a police officer investigating the case.
A case in this connection has been registered with Mana police station but so far no arresting has been made.
