A ‘Haat Bazaar’ is being developed by the Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) opposite Crystal Arcade in Shankar Nagar at a cost of Rs 1.4 crore. The bazaar would have groceries, vegetables, meat etc sold from the facility.
The bazaar will also have a model toilet and garbage disposal facility. Municipal Commissioner Narendra Dugga inspected the construction site and directed completion of the bazaar within three months. Around 145 shaded platforms are being constructed for vegetable and meat vendors.
The bazaar is being constructed under the schemes launched by the State government. The Planning Committee of the Bazaar will choose the beneficiaries according to a pre-planned procedure and then allot the platforms.
