The Governor also met children of the school and motivated them to be sincere in their studies for a better future. Founder of Nishant School Dr SR Gupta thanked the Governor for his guidance and inspiration. He said that his wife and he wanted to make a significant contribution to the society. And this desire motivated them to open a school.
The Nishant School was established in year 1995. Underprivileged children from nearby slum areas come to study in this school. Along with the regular course studies, moral education is equally emphasised.
The students passing out from this school are filled with motivation and energy to pursue higher education and serve the society at large.
Gupta told that once she visited the labour colony and she was disturbed to see the status of education among children there which made her decide on teaching these children and enlighten their minds with education.
Slowly yet steadily their efforts have begun to show positive results. She said that girls education should be specially promoted in such areas. Nearly 250 children are studying in this school. On the occasion, a large number of students and teachers were present.
