Hitting out hard at the BJP government over alleged impersonation case of School Education Minister Kedar Kashyap’s wife in an exam conducted at lohandiguda of Bastar region, State Congress Chief Bhupesh Baghel charged that the State government was trying to hush up the case.
“If the School Education Minister says that he was not aware about the incident, then now after knowing about it, will he get registered a FIR in the case,” Baghel questioned while addressing a press conference at party’s State Headquarters here on Thursday.
Reacting over the Chief Minister’s statement that resignation of the School Education Minister was not required, Baghel said that in Civil Supplies scam the Minister was not distributing rice himself; in the botched-up sterilization case the Health Minister was not the one conducting surgery and in lohnadiguda cheating case, the School Education Minister was not taking the exam himself.
“In the infamous Pora Bai case when a student had topped 12th exam by cheating, she was arrested. In the PMT paper leak case, several students were nabbed; however the main accused who had aided the entire paper leak case is still evading arrest. Will the government take similar action in this case,” Baghel asked.
The State Congress Chief opined that different incidents starting from Pora Bai till Shanti Kashyap expose the condition of School Education in Chhattisgarh. He urged Chief Minister Raman Singh to seek School Education Minister’s resignation.
