A block level lok Suraj Camp was held on Saturday in Duldula block of Jamnapani Gram Panchayat of Jashpur district as part of the State Government’s lok Suraj Abhiyan-2015. MlA Kunkuri Rohit Sai participated in the camp and urged villagers to get maximum benefits from this camp. Jamnapani has been selected for MlA model village scheme, officials informed.
Addressing the gathering, MlA Rohit Sai said that success of any scheme launched by Government depends upon public participation. “More people are educated and aware, more benefits they can draw from these schemes,” Sai said and called upon people to give up hesitation and participate in the process of development.
The MlA also distributed corn seeds and agricultural equipments among farmers. The occasion was marked with presence of Additional Collector DK Singh, President of Janpad Panchayat Sumindri Besra and others.
The Additional Collector after receiving complaint about non-functioning of 6 hand pumps from villagers, on the spot instructed Assistant Engineer PHE to get the hand pumps repaired. He also informed villagers about the toll free number 1800-233-0008 started by State Government for registering complaints regarding malfunctioning of hand pumps. He asked to use hand-pump maintenance and complaint register in Gram Panchayat and Janpad Panchayats.
Information about different schemes like Mukhya Mantir Kaushal Vikas Yojna, Kisan Credit Card Yojna, supplementary diet scheme, Health Wednesday, Mission Indradhanus and different others were also provided to villagers.
