The Chhattisgarh government on Tuesday rejected the issue of extending the online format of examination of school students. Recently, the Higher Education Department has made it mandatory for online examinations for college students.

Chhattisgarh State Bharatiya Yuva Morcha Co-incharge O.P. Choudhary questioned the decision of online format of examination for colleges and denial of the same for school going students.

He pointed out that already examinations for Class 9 and 11 were in progress.

He said that school going children have not been fully vaccinated while the college going students have been vaccinated for Covid-19. He raised the demand for holding online examinations for the school going students.

An official communication said that the education department takes no examination from Class 1 to 8. Also, most school going children in the state do not have devices and net-connectivity.

The examinations of Class 10 and Class 12 are taken by respective Boards (State and Central), which have already been held or will soon be organized.
