The State Government has already purchased 51.95 lakh tonnes of paddy from 1995 procurement centers between November 1, 2018 to January 4, 2019, an official press release informed on Saturday.
The paddy was procured from more than 10.62 lakh farmers. Maximum paddy had been produced from Janjgir-Champa district which has 205 procurement centers.
The Government purchased the maximum 4.84 lakh tonnes of paddy from 96,601 farmers in Janjgir-Champa district. The least amount of paddy during the aforesaid period was procured from Dantewada district which was 2,608 tonnes.
