Chhattisgarh government has issued fresh advisory on Monday about how to avoid sunstroke as the state is reeling under intense heatwave.

The common people have been strongly suggested to take all necessary steps to avoid the scorching heatwave as Mercury is hovering around 44 degree Celsius in most parts of the state.

The Health Department advisory states that the people need to maintain the enoughwater level in the body.  Dehydration can take place in the body due to exposure to excessive heat. It will have detrimental effects on our health.

The advisory further says that if any person experiences heaviness and pain in the head, dry mouth with high fever, dizziness and vomiting, body aches with weakness, no sweating despite high body temperature, excessive thirst, decreased urination, loss of appetite and fainting are symptoms of heat stroke.

The prolonged exposure to the hot sun and heat results in the loss of water and minerals, mainly salt, from the body. To avoid it one should ensure the body is fully covered. Before leaving the house, plenty of water should be absorbed.
