Chhattisgarh's Sports and Youth Welfare Department selection trials at district, zone and state levels for government officers and employees. The state team will take part in the All India Civil Services Sports Meet 2020-21.
Chhattisgarh will host six events -- volleyball, table tennis, lawn tennis, badminton, kabaddi and hockey-- in the tournament, an official statement said on Thursday. The other sporting events are scheduled in New Delhi.
The final state level selection trial for volleyball andkabaddi will take place at the Police Ground and Kota Stadium here on September 14, for hockey at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel International Hockey Stadium here on September 15-16, for badminton at Badminton Hall Sapre School here on September 15-16, for table tennis at Table Tennis Hall Sapre School on September 15 and for Lawn Tennis at Union Club here on September 16.
The state government gives one increment in salary for winners of gold medals while the Central government give an increment for gold, silver and bronze winners.
