The State Government is now taking keen interest in the development of its ambitious Kamal Vihar project – a massive self-contained residential colony with ongoing construction of world-class infrastructure on the outskirts of Raipur city.

On Thursday, State Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand visited the Kamal Vihar Colony project site and had a closer look at the progress of different ongoing works at the site. Notably, the Kamal Vihar project is one of the most ambitious projects of Raipur Development Authority (RDA). The RDA Chairman SS Bajaj and CEO Sourabh Kumar accompanied the Chief Secretary on his visit to the site. Both the senior officials informed the Chief Secretary that 60 per cent of the 600 plots available for sale in the project had already been sold out.

In view of a huge demand in comparison to availability of the residential plots,  RDA had to return amount deposited by about 400 applicants for the plots, officials informed.

Presently, RDA has 339 plots of residential, commercial, public, semi public, health and educational purpose ready for sale at the site. The Chief Secretary, during his visit, also informed that the  Kamal Vihar Colony project has 7,787 developed plots, out of which, 6,687 plots have been distributed among the people whose land was acquired for developing the colony.  Besides, the RDA has now invited tenders for selling 95 plots meant for residential, commercial, public, semi public, health and educational purposes.
