Governor Shekhar Dutt has congratulated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal on being sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi.
The Governor also congratulated his Cabinet Ministers while wishing that they would ensure good governance and administration in Delhi. Dutt also wished them a bright and glorious future ahead.
Chief Minister Raman Singh also sent his best wishes to Arvind Kejriwal on becoming the seventh Chief Minister of Delhi on Saturday. “I am congratulating Kejriwal on becoming the chief minister of Delhi and conveying my best wishes to him,” he said in a statement here.
Activist-turned-politician Kejriwal (45) administered oath at the sprawling Ramlila Maidan in Delhi along with six Cabinet Ministers on Saturday.
His party had won only 28 seats in the 70-member Assembly — and would be dependent on the legislative backing of the eight legislators of the Congress, which was voted out after 15 years.
