The Chhattisgarh Government has appealed the general public not to be misled and cheated by the foreign-based firms and organisations who are swindling the innocent public of huge amounts of money.
The concerned officials said that if any individual has received such offers from cheaters on foreign shores or was duped of money a complaint soon should be filed with the police or Cyber Crimes Bureau.
“Nodal agencies are mentioned on the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) website also. The victims can also lodge complaints with these agencies,”added officials.
Directorate of Institutional Finance officers based at Naya Raipur said that RBI had already cautioned the citizens to be wary of investing their money in foreign companies which are illegal or banned.
The Union Government has also advised to be aware of foreign companies and lotteries offered by bogus companies. The RBI had alerted that most of the companies are bogus.
No individual is allowed to remit money violating the RBI guidelines. In such case action can be taken against such individual.
