The Chhattisgarh government has procured 40.28 lakh metric tonnes (MT) of paddy so far on Minimum Support Price (MSP) during the ongoing paddy procurement drive from farmers, officials informed.
The Government has set the target of procuring 70 lakh MT during the Kharif Marketing Year 2016-17.
MARKFED so far had released Rs 5,415 crore as payment made to farmers in the District Co-operative Central Banks, officials informed.
