Give priority to local youth: Collector

District Collector Mukesh Bansal has directed the private sector employers to ensure that members of families whose land had been acquired for industrial projects be offered priority in job placements in the district.

Chairing a meeting to review the preparations for the forthcoming job fair to be held on February 21 in Raigarh at the District Collectorate here, Bansal directed the officials to ensure that local youth get cent per cent employment preference by the private sector employers. He also asked all the private sector companies in the district to provide maximum participation of their organisations in the job fair.

Bansal said that the primary objective of the job fair was to provide a platform for  direct interaction between the employers and job applicants. He said that there was no fee for attending the fair. However, the final decision on choice of suitable candidates would rest with the private sector employers participating in the fair. Bansal said that there would not be any outside placement agency involved in recruitment of candidates at the fair.

The private sector employers such as large, medium and small enterprises, security agencies, financial institutions, insurance agencies, Chartered Accountancy firms, educational institutions, hospitals, nursing homes, hotels, restaurants , private banking institutions and marketing firms can send the information in a prescribed proforma to the District Employment Office offering details on the vacant positions available with them, he said.

Bansal said that the private employers needed to send all relevant information in time so that candidates get an opportunity to appear in the job interview as per the job requirement of the organisations. He said that further details for the employers had been provided on the website www.cgemployment.gov.in.
