The Special Director General of Police, R.K. Vij, on Thursday visited ‘Dial 112’ Command and Control Centre and told the staff to promptly forward the complaints of Chhattisgarh farmers to the Food Department.
In line with the directives of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, he visited the ‘Dial 112’ centre in Civil Lines in Raipur, a press release said.
So far, from various districts 408 farmers have registered complaints with ‘Dial 112’. These were forwarded to the concerned department. The farmers were informed via SMS that their complaints had been registered.
There has been a 20 percent jump in complaints received at ‘Dial 112’, with a majority from farmers, it added.
Vij directed the officials to seriously handle the complaints of farmers and coordinate with the Food Department so that the problems are promptly resolved.
He suggested a visit by Food Department officials to the ‘Dial 112’ hub so that coordination between both them is strengthened and farmers' problems are quickly addressed.
