In view of the festive season ahead, Raipur District Collector OP Chaudhary has directed gas agencies to remain open on holidays also so that consumers do not face the shortage of cooking gas. The Collector, on Friday, directed district administration officials to take stern action against gas agencies if any serious complaints are received against them. He was addressing a meeting of the sales officers and gas dealers of petroleum marketing companies at the Collectorate here. “At gas agencies, sufficient cylinders should be ensured against the number of gas connections so that people may not have to face difficulties in getting the cylinder re-fill,” he said. The Collector asked officials to ensure that no backlog remains with gas agencies and if required they should work extra hours. Food Controller RC Gulati was also present in the meeting.
