The people of Gariband city as well as those living in the forests of the district worshipped and welcomed lord Ganesha with full tradition and rituals on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on Friday.
The devotees established idols of lord Ganesha at their homes and pandals erected for the ten-day festival.The idol of Ganesha have been installed at Bajrangpara, Ravanbhata, Pairi Colony, Civil lines, Shikshak Nagar, Malgaon Kokadi etc.
The youths were
busy with last minute preparations for the installation of idols of lord Ganesha
in different public venues, housing complexes and homes.The pandals are decorated with fancy lights and sound systems have been installed for cultural programmes to be organised on the occasion.
The devotees installed the idols in procession fusing crackers and dancing to the drums beats. The sound Ganpati Bappa Moriya echoed through the streets throughout the day.
