Under the aegis of Gantavya Sansthan, a day-long, 18th ‘Stree Shakti Samman Samaroh (National Woman Power Felicitation Programme) would be held on March 7 at Vrindavan Hall in the city from 4.00 pm onwards, informed Arunesh Sharma, State president of the organization while addressing media persons at Raipur Press Club on Sunday.
During the programme, Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) Chhaya Verma would be conferred with ‘Stree Ratna Samman 2017’ while renowned educationist, social worker and Vice Chancellor of Bastar University Jayalaxmi Thakur will be feted with ‘Stree Shakti life Time Acheivement Award 2017’ besides 18 woman empowerment award among the women for their outstanding contribution in their respective fields would be given away, Sharma further said.
