Four Maoists, one of them carrying a bounty of Rs 1 lakh, surrendered to security forces on Thursday in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.
Muchaki Deva, Muchaki Joga, Muchaki Hunga and Somaru turned themselves in citing disappointment with the Maoist ideology, Sukma Superintendent of Police Sunil Sharma told The Pioneer.
Deva, who carried a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head, was a Militia Commander while Joga was a Deputy Militia Commander. The other two were militia members of the outlawed Maoists outfit.
They will be rehabilitated as per the government’s rehabilitation policy, Sharma added.
