A special ‘flood control cell’ had been established in the District Collectorate here ahead of the coming monsoon season for taking up effective flood control measures along with ensuring preparedness for relief works.
As a result of this, District Collector Avinash Champawat has appointed Additional Collector A lakra as the In-charge officer of the cell while Deputy Collector A l Dhurv had been appointed as Nodal Officer and Superintendent (land Records) Rajendra Prasad had been made an Assistant for the management of the cell.
In case of floods, the following senior officers could be contacted for help and relief measures—Additional Collector (Mobile no-96170-12300, Deputy Collector (Mobile no-94241-12118), Superintendent (land Records) (Mobile no—97536-63660).
The apart, district and tehsil level flood control cells had also been established .The contact number for district level cell is 07836-232721 and at Tehsil level a number of officials had been appointed to respond with help and relief.
Meanwhile, a meeting to review various preparations being carried out for Chief Minister Raman Singh’s Vikas Yatra in the district would be held tomorrow under the chairmanship of the District Collector.
