In a shocking incident, five persons of a family consumed poison following which two children died here in a Kharora police station limits on Monday. The reason why the family resorted to such extreme step was yet to be known, informed Station House Officer Kharora Shaym Sidar.
The SHO talking with The Pioneer over phone informed that the deceased were identified as Harish Yadav, son of Vishnu Yadav and Durga Yadav, daughter of Vishnu Yadav. Vishnu is a labourer.
Vishnu Yadav, his wife Malti Yadav and their daughter Khusbu Yadav had also consumed poison and have been admitted in hospital and are under medical observation in the local hospital, said the police officer, adding incident happened around 7 pm after which neighbours informed police about the incident who then admitted them in hospital.
