State Government has nominated five MlAs as members of the Executive Council (EC) of Surguja University. The tenure of the nominated members will be of three years.
According to the order issued by the department of Higher Education, the five members nominated to the Executive Council of Surguja University include MlA from Manendragarh Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, MlA from Pathalgaon Shivshanker Paikra, MlA from Jashpur, Rajsharan Bhagat, MlA from Ambikapur TS Singhdeo and MlA from Ramanujganj Brihaspati Singh. According to the Section 23(2) of Chhattisgarh University Act 1973, the tenure of he nominated members will be of three years.
