A first ever meeting of the State-level Consultative Committee of Chhattisgarh Bhavan and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board was held under the chairmanship of Agriculture and labour Minister Chandrashekhar Sahu in the State Mantralaya on Monday.
The members of the meeting discussed issues concerning welfare of construction workers and their social security. The members attending in the meeting also suggested distribution of boots, gloves and a set of shirts to the workers besides putting up a mono of ‘Mukyamantri Helmet Suraksha Yojana’ on each helmet worn by the workers.
The Minister directed the officials attending the meeting to provide maximum benefits of the various schemes launched by the State government for the welfare of the workers.
He said that the CEO of Janpad Panchayat had been authorised to carry out maximum registrations of the workers at the Block level. Sahu directed that the workers be distributed the worker registration cards during the state-wide ‘Vikas Yatra’.
