The minister-babu row finally headed to a extended burial with Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh on Monday asking his aggrieved Chief Secretary Sunil Kumar who is known as a highly honest officer, to find out the identity of the complainant and the purpose of his complaint before deciding the name of agency for probing the allegation, of being involved in the so called furniture scam, levelled against him.

Notably, peeved at the allegation levelled by some unidentified person accusing Sunil Kumar and Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) D S Mishra of being involved in Furniture Scam and Paper scam, a complaint in that regard was also purportedly sent to the Central Vigilance Commissioner, prompted the Chief Secretary to recommend a CBI probe against himself and thereby putting the government in a tight spot.

Top official sources informed that the Chief Minister, who had not seen the letter till Sunday, finally put a note Monday on the file sent by Kumar asking him to find out the identity of the complainant and aspects of his complaint, only after that any decision can be taken on his request.

Notably, some R M Singh, not identified yet, had reportedly lodged a complaint with Central Vigilance Commission accusing Kumar and Mishra of being involved in Furniture scam and Paper scam, both related to education department headed by the senior minister Brijmohan Agrawal, who is stated to be at the logger’s head with CS and the ACS (Finance).

In his note, the Chief Minister asked Kumar to first take a report from the related department (Education Dept) and ascertain about the facts regarding the complainant and aspects of his complaint and then submit the report to him for taking any decision. In the first hand enquiry, both the complaint as well as identity of the complainant have been found fake as no one of this name ever stayed at address mentioned in the letter — Room No 210, Chhatt-isgarh Bhawan, New Delhi.
