A major fire broke out in a tent house godown in Bilaspur city in Chhattisgarh, destroying goods worth lakhs of rupees, police said on Thursday.
Bilaspur Senior Superintendent of Police Parul Mathur said the blaze erupted on Wednesday night in the godown belonging to the Shivam Tent House at Chakarbhata area.
A fire fighting team rushed to the site after the police alerted them. There were no casualties and no one was injured.
The exact cause of the blaze was yet to be ascertained. The authorities estimated the damages to the tune of around Rs 20 lakhs.
