Heavy rain for past two days after nearly a month-long dry spell brought much-needed relief from the sweltering heat and intense humid conditions in almost entire Bastar region.
Heavy and incessant rain threw normal life out of gear on Friday and caused a heavy water-logging in low lying areas such as Dharampura, Shaheed Park Tiraha, Motitalab Para and Naya Para.
Jagdalpur Mayor Jatin Jaiswal visited to several water-logged areas on Friday evening and instructed Municipal Corporation officials to put all efforts to flush out rain water from residential areas.
Metrological department has predicted normal to heavy rain in entire state for the next 48 hours.
