Keeping in mind the health conditions of people living in the State, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has initiated many schemes , especially for children to propel the State for acquiring the status of a healthy State. Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Yojana is one such scheme, which helped hundreds of children including loknath to get a new life.
With his spirit of life and will power, the tender-aged loknath of village Bhothi in Aarang block of Raipur district overpowered the critical cardiac disease. loknath was suffering from cardiac disorder. Student of standard 6th-loknath, who's innocent childhood was earlier gripped in the symptoms like fatigue, weakness, shortness of breathe, dizziness, uneasiness, anxiety, etc as three of the valves of his hearts were damaged, has now got rid of all the ailments after undergoing successful cardiac surgery at Escort Hospital that was sponsored by State Government under Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Yojana.
Gloom appalled on the loknath's family, when loknath was diagnosed the severe heart problem at escort hospital. loknath's father Udal Yadav, a labourer, was informed by the doctors of escort hospital that heart operation has to be done at the earliest to save loknath. But the operation costed lakhs of rupees and poor Udal Yadav had no means as such to arrange such huge amount, in this situation Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Yojana proved to be a boon for loknath and his family. Under the scheme , financial aid was provided and loknath underwent heart operation at Escort Hospital, Raipur on February 22, 2013. loknath's parents are all happy to see their son recover and do well. His father Udal Yadav said that now their dream of making loknath a pilot will come true. They told that they make their both ends meet by working as labourers. Hence, it was not possible for them to arrange this big amount of Rs 2.20 lakh. But teachers of Rajiv Gandhi Shiksha Mission guided them well and helped them in availing the financial aid from State Government. loknath's parents have expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister and State Government for the financial aid provided for loknath's cardiac surgery.
like loknath, there are several other children who have been cured of the severe cardiac problems, with Government's support under the scheme. Student of standard 7th, Shivshankar from village Paragaon of Raipur district was suffering from cardiac problem called RHD valvular. He underwent cardiac operation at Escort Hospital on February 21, 2013, as State Government provided financial aid for the same under Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Suraksha Yojana. loknath, Shivshankar and several other children like them, who received aid under the scheme, are leading a healthy and normal life now, and their studies are back on track.
It is noteworthy that on the initiative of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Suraksha Yojana was started in State on July 28, 2008 with a noble aim to providing financial aid for treatment of children suffering from cardiac problems. This scheme has given a new life of many children of State. Under the scheme, cardiac treatment expenses of the children of age 15 years and below are borne by State Government.
