Chhattisgarh minister for school education and tribal development Dr Premsai Singh Tekam has announced that soon a fee regulatory committee will be formed to monitor the fee structure of private schools in the state in a bid to check their “authoritative attitude.”
Tekam was addressing a meet the press here at Raipur Press Club on Wednesday afternoon. He on this occasion also shared the highlights of detailed work plan to bring school education in the state on track.
He also claimed that Chhattisgarh is perhaps the first state that is going to recruit 14000 teachers at a time in government schools across the state.
Government has started Prayas, Utkarsh and Navodaya Vidyalaya in order to bring out the talent especially from rural areas, but these efforts have failed, he said.
The newly formed Congress government in the state has decided to monitor the students’ performance even after they passed higher secondary from these three schools, he said.
Tekam also expressed his apprehension about rise in the number of school dropouts and said they will properly monitor it and will try to stop this by imparting special coaching to class sixth students and motivate them right from the beginning.
