A 11-month-old boy was suspected to have been killed by his father in Sanjay Nagar locality of Tikarapara, police said here on Monday. According to the police, the deceased was identified as lav Kumar Yadav (11 months) son of Bhajan lal Yadav, resident of Sanjay Nagar. The suspect Bhajan lal is an alcoholic and had reached his home under inebriated condition on Sunday night. Bhajan lal Yadav who is a labourer reportedly had heated exchange of words with his wife. After the fight, they went to sleep, Station House Officer (SHO), Tikarapara, Mohammed Nasir Bhathi informed.
“Around 4 am the wife of suspect woke up and found that the baby was lying still and was not responding. The suspect then in the name of calling his mother left the house, since then he has not returned, SHO maintained. The short post-mortem report of baby has also confirmed strangulation as reason of death, the SHO told The Pioneer over phone. Police have started intense search of the suspect and a case has been registered.
