Farmers in Chhattisgarh will be able to verify the location and limits of their land online from any location as the details of the land, along with the map, will be uploaded on the district website, run by NIC, officials said on Saturday.

The hardware installation and server connection to all the tehsils, along with training patwaris and revenue inspectors, is almost complete. The project is likely to be started from September 1.“The Government has recently decided to provide maps along with Khasra (land record) and B-1 forms to the people. These details will also be available online for perusal of common man,” said District Informatics Officer Pradeep Kumar Mishra.

“People can also download the details of the land as per their requirement. However, the downloaded document will have to be certified by the concerned officer if it has to be used for any purpose,” said Mishra. He said that the computers have been installed and connected to the server at all tehsils. The Patwaris and Revenue Inspectors have been provided training for this.  The details of land will be uploaded every month on NIC website.

The system will eliminate the chances of cheating in transaction of properties and land disputes. This will also reduce the dependency of farmers on revenue official to get the details of their land and they can now get the details online.

State Government has recently decided to provide maps along with Khasra and B-1 forms to the farmers. The scheme will help about 37 lakh farmers of the State. With documents uploaded on the website, the farmers need not to carry papers with them and can download them instantly from anywhere.CM has directed the officers concerned to complete the work by September 1.
